Stem the cherries and strawberries, dry them in a tea towel, place the cherries at the bottom of the jar. Cover with red currants, then raspberries, and finally the strawberries. Cover with eau-de-vie. Seal and leave to macerate for 1 month. Then add the sugar. Macerate 1 more month before eating.

1 lb cherries
1/2 lb currants
3 1/4 lbs strawberries
3 1/4 lbs raspberries
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 quart white eau-de-vie
